LETTERS

Another departure. Emigrating again. A journey into myself, struggles with my own weaknesses, limitations and fears. Opportunities appear but deciding hurts. There is too little time for deeper analysis. Then “nothing ventured, nothing gained”. You only need to be careful what you wish, because thoughts materialize faster than you expect.

The emigration is extending. Should I come back tomorrow? Maybe never? Get things done, thank, say goodbye to the past life.

The project is a part of a larger whole. My aim is to continue it to thank all the people who are important to me. Every module (an envelope with a name on it) is addressed to an specific and simultaneously anonymous recipient. Every envelope contains artifacts with labels. These are objects which directly or symbolically remind important moments and significant events that particularly influenced me. For the receivers they are also an occasion to revise similar experiences.

A letter intentionally intended for one particular recipient becomes open correspondence. Through the gesture of opening and taking out the letter keeps the form of a traditional letter.

An additional element directed only to the particular person is a bag with the name on it intended to be taken by the addressee.

Not every ENVELOPE recipient has their own BAG and not every person with a BAG has their own ENVELOPE.
